A farm in the village of Holubivka, covering approximately 5,000 hectares, is actively implementing cutting-edge technologies in the agricultural sector. Alongside crop and livestock production, numerous studies and tests of new products, technologies, and hybrids are conducted here. One of the innovations is the use of agro-drones for desiccation and trichogramma application.
This year, the farm faced an invasion of the European corn borer and the cotton bollworm. To combat them, the decision was made to test the new insecticide Vantacor™ from FMC. The goal of the experiment is to prove that this product should be used in farm fields, as it can effectively protect corn.
Why was Vantacor™ chosen?
Vantacor™ is a new insecticide for corn protection, distinguished by its formulation with added new adjuvants. It is recommended for ultra-low volume application with a spray rate of 8 liters per hectare. The study aims to determine Vantacor’s effectiveness under various temperature conditions, particularly at temperatures above 25 degrees Celsius.
The study is being conducted with the participation of AGRONIX, which provides DJI agricultural drones and ensures the workflow with a pilot and technical support. The CEO of AGRONIX, Mykola Cherniak, coordinates the study and ensures the proper execution of all operations.
During the testing, which began at a temperature of 33 degrees and later dropped to 30 degrees, it was noted that Vantacor dissolves fantastically in water. It is expected to demonstrate the same high effectiveness in pest control.
