The most suitable period for desiccation is cool, humid weather. Desiccation should begin once the majority of plants have reached maturity.
Depending on the crop, treatment is carried out 7–21 days before harvest. For cereals, the optimal interval is about two weeks; for legumes, one to three weeks; and for early varieties, 7–10 days is sufficient.
Desiccation can be performed with various equipment, but agricultural drones offer key advantages: no crop damage, high application accuracy, and the ability to operate even in challenging field conditions.
